I like genuine human experiences and connections. I also love entrepreneurship. For better or worse, a lot of that is in technology.
Technology has been wonderful in many ways but I see it's come at a big cost, in many ways.
On this site I write up projects I've built + launched, along with commentary on what work and what did not. In particular I am interested in how to get people using new websites and services, and how that can be 'scaled'.
I am not of pure pedigree in any one discipline. I was a viral video games developer (10m+ organic plays under the pseudonym CorkySurprise), briefly a lawyer working in financial regulation, ran a company through Entrepreneur First, and then went into growth and marketing.
The Guardian UK has called me "an interesting character".
I'm interested in overlooked opportunities, and things have the power to heal or connect people.
I am seen as quite rationally minded but am quite the opposite; I value the ethereal and intangible over the concrete and measurable.

I don't have an explicit objective with this site. I just seek to increase serendipity, write my thoughts, and have some interesting conversations with people around the world.
That lack of direct-ness is a bother to some people but these are not the sort of people I am looking to find :)
